Introduction to wood turning on the lathe: Spindle turning
This class covers the rudiments of the power lathe and gives you hands on experience to get you comfortable working on the machine.
We will cover the parts of the lathe, talk about basic tools and sharpening. We will
discuss mounting stock and making the initial cuts. You will learn to make beads and
coves, the most basic shapes in spindle turning. After some practice with waste

Successful completion of this class will count as your initial checkout on the lathe.
