What an amazing week! We have finalized all of the safety improvements and passed our inspection with the Fire Department so that now we can open and begin operations! And- for those of you who have toured the space already… I am thrilled to announce that we have working heat in all corners of the space thanks to the creativity and perseverance of Tim @NH Mechanical!
We have our first studio rental set up and ready for operation as well. Many people local to Penacook probably know Jillian Libby and her business, the Wild Bean. They are ready to go to the next level of business development- come visit during our event on March 14th- the aromatherapy products are wonderful.
We have been busy planning our first big event- the Art Of Entrepreneurship on March 5th at the Hotel Concord. Tickets are selling fast. Don’t miss our keynote presenter, Tiffany Eddy, speak about her exciting new venture: Smart Strong and Sassy! The day will be filled with connection and information- and lots of fun!
We have lots of other events and classes starting to fill up the calendar- please visit the website or the facebook page often as things are getting added to the calendar all the time.
Our first open house will be this Saturday, 2/22/20 from 10-2. We will start to do regular open houses every Thursday evening from 5:30-8 pm starting March 12. Please feel free to come to visit, take a tour and bring a project to work on in the community space.
And of course- become a member! Full access Maker Membership is only $50 a month with discounts for longer prepaid memberships, seniors, students and military.
Supporting membership at $25/month offers you access to special events and classes and the member rate.
Come make, learn, share, get involved!

do you rent any personal space out for makers?
We do! We have private offices available for rent, as well as open air artist studios. There are also project shelves available for member storage. You can find the details on our page https://www.makingmattersnh.org/for-makers/#spacerental . You may also follow up with Laura Miller at info@makingmattersnh.org .
I want to sign up . Will you be open tomorrow?
I am looking for people in the Concord-Bow area who might need 3/8” knit elastic for masks they are sewing. I have 144 yds to share.
Hi Hope- I also sent you an email. We would love to get the elastic to the mask makers if Concord group. Thank you so much!
