When Making Matters NH formed this past May, a core part of our mission was our desire to help young area businesses and new innovators thrive. We may not have an actual building yet, but we are not going to let a small detail like that slow us down. With the help of our kind sponsors, we are thrilled to bring the 1MillionCups forum to Central New Hampshire!
1 Million Cups is an entrepreneur-focused event formed by the Kauffman Foundation with the idea that communities around the country will share 1 million cups of coffee while developing their entrepreneurial ecosystem. The goal is to develop a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem by connecting entrepreneurs to each other and their local communities so they can receive support, develop their ideas, and collaboratively solve the challenging problems they face.
The first Wednesday of each month, two entrepreneurs will present for six minutes, followed by 15-20 minutes of questions from the audience. 1 Million Cups events are inclusive; everyone is welcome regardless of their background or experience. The more community involvement and the greater the diversity of ideas and perspectives that we have, the more successful we’ll be in making Central New Hampshire a hub of entrepreneurship and innovation. We begin Wednesday, November 7th at 8am with The Cyborg Lab, proud creators of “Siri for Athletes” for your smart device. After founder Tim Near answers your questions and receives feedback, Bill Yacopucci aka “Bill Y – Franklin Guy” of Franklin Gear will discuss his apparel initiatives that are bringing the community along for the ride!
If you want to attend the launch, please register for the (free) event via Eventbrite so we can be sure we have adequate stores of coffee laid in! If you would like to present at a future meeting, please apply at www.1millioncups.com/concord
